After an exciting regular season the semi finals got off to a bang. But first we'd like to congratulate FC Arsene Wenger on bringing the second place trophy at the CUNY Soccer Intramurals home to Baruch.
The first match saw the Black Stars take on Champion's League super power DreamTeam. Black Stars put up a good fight but couldn't hold on, going down to Dream 6-1, behind a hat trick from Alvaro Velazquez.
The second match was probably the most excited match of the tournament. CUNY Soccer Intramural runner-up FC Arsene Wenger took on BM United. FC Arsene Wenger dominated possession in the early parts of the game but BM United would hold on and pull out a 2-1 win, behind goals from Daniel McCallum and Mosi Brown.
April 30th will determine it all. At 12:45 PM, the 3rd place game will take place. This will see FC Arsene Wenger take on Black Stars. And then, at 1:15 PM, for all the marbles, defending champs DreamTeam will take on BM united.

End Of Group Stage
Game one saw FC Arsene Wenger take on Vertical Campus United. VC United were without key players such as captain Jonathon Park and paid the price for it, going down to Arsene Wenger 6-1, within FC AW captain Dovlet Bairiev netting 5 goals.
Game two saw defending champions DreamTeam take on winless CSA FC. After a competitive first half, DreamTeam turned on the style, winning 7 goals to 3 behind braces from Jason Lopez and Pete Dibona.
The last game of the group stage saw Le Club Francophone take on BM United. With playoff places on the line BM United won a relatively close affair 3 goals to 1, with captain Patrick Murphy amongst the goal scores.
This Thursday, in the Semi-Finals, at 12:45 PM we will see DreamTeam take on Black Stars and then at 1:15 PM we will see FC Arsene Wenger take on BM United.

Matchday 2 and 3
Another exciting week in the Baruch Champions' League has just been completed. Defending champions DreamTeam look most impressive this week handily winning twice.
The first day of matchday 2 saw DreamTeam take on Club Francophone. Club Francophone however were no match for the defending champs, with DreamTeam winning impressively 13-1. DreamTeam was lead by Alvaro Velazquez who scored 4 goals.
The second game saw the Black Stars down Vertical Campus United 5-1 behind a hat trick for Amen Enoma. Lastly, FC Arsene Wenger defeated Dynamo Balkan 4-2, lead by a hat trick from Dovlet Bairiev.
Coming into Matchday 3 teams were playing to represent Baruch in the CUNY Wide tournament and the intensity backed that realization.
The day began with DreamTeam trouncing BM United 7 goals to 2, lead by an impressive 5 goals from Akil George. Next we had a high scoring game between CSA FC and Club Francophone. Club Francophone edged CSA FC 8-5 behind hat tricks from Ngenzi and Tidiane. The final game of matchday 3 saw Black Stars defeat Dynamo Balkan 5-3, behind a brace from Jon Saoi.
In terms of who represents Baruch in the CUNY Wide Tournament, two teams won their first two game, namely DreamTeam and FC Arsene Wenger. FC AW had a goal difference of +4 while DreamTeam had a goal difference of a whopping +17. So congrats to DreamTeam who will represent Baruch in the Tournament.

Matchday 1
The first matchday of the 2013 edition of the Baruch Champions' League was as eventful as ever. In the first game, Arsene Wenger FC triumphed over the Black Stars 3-1. In the second matchup, CSA FC was trounced by BM United 8-2. Yes, 8 goals to 2. In our final game of matchday 1 Vertical Campus United edged out Dynamo Balkan 6-4.
The matchup between Arsene Wenger FC and the Black Stars was closely contested for most of the match, as the game was level for much of the 20 minutes. However, the Black Stars appeared to tire down the stretched and Dovlet Bairiev proved to be the difference, notching a brace for AW FC.
In our second matchup saw CSA FC take on BM United. This one was actually a close contest as the second half began 2-2. But then CSA seemed to run out of gas as BM turned on the style. BM would go on to score 6 unanswered goals and win 8-2, with Isaias Castillo scoring a hat trick.
Our last affair was a back and forth battle between Vertical Campus and Dynamo Balkan. There was many ties and lead changes in the affair but in the end Vertical Campus proved too much for Dynamo Balkan, edging them out 6 goals to 4, with braces from Juan and John.
